HW Creativity

New media technologies have become platforms for individuals to find their voice and foster creativity. Twitter is taking advantage of this initiative, by creating a platform for users to play the innovator role. In “Twitter Serves Up Ideas From Its Users,” Miller explains how Twitter heavily relies on users to give new ideas, and other technology companies. Companies observe how individuals react to the service, then the engineers turn some of their ideas into actual features. One example of this is Twitter implemented Lists and Retweets, based on feedback from users. These users will be the ones using the end product; so, it’s a great initiative to allow them to design the product. New media technologies conveniently allows people to create networks and exchange ideas. Even non-technology companies such as Ford are joining this new wave of innovation. Recently, Ford invited students to share ideas for new features.
